Soul Surfer

My parents went and saw Soul Surfer when it came to Kaysville theater. After the called me and said that I had to see it. That it was so amazing. Well I could never get to the theater up here in Logan and when I went home I never could find the time.

The last week of July I was scheduled to work in Ogden to do some testing on a new program for work. I was done at 5 so that gave me extra time at night to play with my family. On July 28Th Dad, Mom, Me and Skyler went to the movies. Mom and Skyler saw Poppers Penguins and Dad and I went and saw Soul Surfer.

Oh man I was so so good! I SOBBED through the whole movie. It was so so good. It was so inspirational and had such a good message. It came out on DVD on Aug 2ND and I bought it! I highly recommend it.

Eat Pray Love

Last Thursday I had a day off.. and I red boxed the movie Eat Pray Love. Oh man I loved it. I have for about 2-3 years now really wanted to travel to Italy. I want to eat pasta, and more pasta, and learn how to cook the food and just take in the culture. Well, this movie only made it worse. I SO WANT TO GO! But money does not grow on trees so it prob will not happen in the near future.

What I loved about the movie is that it spoke to me. It is about figuring out who you are and being ok with that and also finding balance in life. one of my favorite quotes from the movies is

"Balance is not letting anyone love you less than you love yourself."

Inspiring... It is true. I am trying to figure out how to balance my life at the moment.. I don't have much to balance, just work, eating, sleeping, trying to meet people, calling, fun, family and just good old me time. It is not really that much but it is over loading me at the moment. It seems when I try to balance it just all falls apart. But I am going to keep trying.

the next favorite line is..

"I am so sick of people telling me I need a man."

not that people are telling me that I need a man but sometimes it feels like it. I am actually ok with being single. Sometimes it would be nice to have somebody but oh well. I just loved that in the movie she learned to tell people that she did not need a man. it was awesome. She just learned to love her self and then once that happened she found her love.

So I recommend this movie and am warning you will prob want to go to Italy or India afterwords. :)

Dinner & a Movie

Saturday Me and my roommates did dinner and a movie. After I got off work Brooke and Emma met me at Rumbi Island Grill.

I had a buy one get one free coupon and so we went and split a few things. Oh man, I love this place! It is so so yummy. I was so excited when Logan got one:)

Then we went over to a red box and got a movie. We got the movie "Takers".

It had Paul Walker in it so I was OK. :) (oh i love his eyes) so we started watching it and oh man.. one of the WORST movies ever! it was a mixture of Ocean 11 and Italian Job, but there was no real story plot or character development. They even tried to pull off the Italian job Truck through the road thing but failed. You could not tell who was good or bad they were all bad. So please don't waste a dollar on this movie.

Then on Monday we ordered pizza and watched the old parent trap that was on TV. Great Times!

Kaysville Theater With Dad

I love the Kaysville Theater! It is such a great place and a great deal. On Friday me and daddy went to the movies. We went and saw Unstoppable. Dad had seen it before but it was my first time. I had kind of seen previews for it and thought it looked good. Well I have to say that I LOVED IT! it is so Suspenseful. Holy COW! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. When it was over all I could say was HOLY CRAP! I was still processing it. It does have some language but it is good.

I was Glad that dad and I could go and see it. I love spending time with dad!

Spencer's Birthday

This is my brother Spencer! On Jan 30Th he turned 18! Spencer has been a blessing in my life for all 18 years. He is the sweetest, very kind, super funny, and one of the best littler brothers any one could ask for. Some of my favorite memories of him are when he wore his superman jammies(cape included) and tried flying up the stairs.(at least it was up and not down) Him taking my hair claw clips and putting them on his wrist as a lazer and running around the house like buzz light year and shooting you. Playing soccer and being so good that we had to bribe him not to score. Sticking his spoon(or fork) in the light socket and getting electrocuted and his hair standing up for what felt like a year. When in JR High I was a choir mom and drove him and a few of his friends around to sing and them throwing candy at other cars.. Spencer and Shiree dates( I buy the tickets he buys the popcorn) His plays, Watching him run( He is super fast I think his PR for the mile is 4 min and 46 sec) Cheering for him and my aunt in the Wasatch back last year(all 188 miles) and much much more. He is just an amazing kid. I can't wait to see what he does for the rest of his life.

So on Saturday we as a family spent the afternoon and evening doing what Spencer wanted. First we went to see Unstoppable at the Kaysville Theater. Oh man I love that movie. The movie is so good and so suspenseful. It had a bunch of language but it was a good movie.
Then we went to Spencer's favorite restaurant to eat.. Wingers.. I think almost all of us got something with sticky fingers in it. It was good.
Then we went to Nickle Cade in Riverdale and played games. It was so much fun. Everyone played(even mom)
Spencer Playing Games

Dj, Spencer (Dressed as Twins) Me, and Janice

It was a great day. Then on Sunday we had a huge family dinner with everyone(Brooke & Logan and Grandma and Grandpa) and we had Chocolate Bunt Cake and Ice cream.

Love Ya Spencer! I am glad that you are my brother!

Cleaning

So I spent my Saturday Cleaning. We have winter cleaning checks today and so I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned. I did not really mind it was something that needed to be done and it always feels nice to have a clean house. I just wish it would stay that way. :)

I Scrubed out the fridge.. YUCK!!! Oh man there was so much nasty stuff that had been spilled all over and there was a TON of moldy food in there. I sprayed that baby down with antibacterial cleaner and tossed anything with mold. (I think someone was doing science experiment in there :) lol) I cleaned all the counters and cupboards in the kitchen, vacuumed the whole place and cleaned the bathroom.

I have noticed that i have a favorite cleaning product. It works so well and you can use it on just about everything..

I LOVE THESE! they are so great! they are soft on one side and scrubby on the other. I use them all the time. They are defiantly my favorite cleaning product! :)

Even though I did a lot of cleaning I was able to veg a little. While i was cleaning I watched part of the movies, She's all that, Last Holiday, First Daughter, Chasing Liberty and the jazz game. but i did take a break and watch all of 16 candles. Oh man I seriously love the 80's they were so great.

I dropped stuff of at DI, pick up a few things, went Grocery shopping and by the end of the night I crashed. I got into bed to fall a sleep when I saw the movie Free Willey was on and ended up staying up til midnight( Which for those of you who know lately i am out by 10:30 unless something is going on) I loved those movies growing up.

All in all it was a pretty good day off Saturday. :)

Fun Friday

Yesterday was a great day. It was my dads company party. We were able to go see The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

Oh my goodness it was so so good! I loved it. I think that it was the best out of all of them. :) The company gave us popcorn, candy, and a drink. Oh and the movie was in 3D. It was so wonderful. My dad's work is the best!

After the movie we wandered and shopped at the Gateway! I love the gateway at Christmas. It is so festive. we walked around for a while and looked in a bunch of shops. while my mom and dad were in a store me, DJ, Janice, and Skyler went into Rue 21. we found some fun things to try on..

DJ with Funky Glasses and Hat

Dad With a Polar Bear

Then we went Jason Deli to Eat!! Oh we all love that place. It is so so good! One of the best parts is the Free Ice Cream:)
Then I have the most wonderful DAD in the world who bought me a Carmel Apple from The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. OH I love them and I LOVE my Dad!
What a great day with family and to get into the Christmas spirit.

Harry Potter

Oh my goodness... I was so so excited for Harry potter to come out. And it was the best of all the movies!

I really Loved it! I thought it was so so good. They way that they followed the book so well, the special effects, and just everything about it. If you have not seen it yet I totally Reccomend going. It is worth the $ 7.50 to see it in the Theater. I Just wish 6 months would come faster. :)

Beauty & the Beast

I got a coupon for $10.00 off the Blue-ray/DVD combo and I could not pass this up. I was at Wal-mart getting some Halloween decorations...(which is a completly different story) and as I look at the movie so many memories from my past came up.

For those of you who truly know me I am a Cinderella fan. I think I became a fan when my Uncle Allen gave me the nickname "Cindy" becaue I was helping my cousins do there chores so that we could play. :) the nick name stuck for a while and then I was a cinderella fan. I got to go to disneyland all three years of highshool and i have a picture of me with Cinderella each time. I would wait paitently with the 5 year old girls and get my picture. :)

As I went home and Watched Beauty & the Beast the flood of memories came back to me and I used to be a huge Belle fan. I Remember when I turned 8 I had a beauty and the beast party and i remember getting a belle pillow. I also love all the music and that it said my name in the movie.

Well I am enjoying my movies and memories. i just wish i had a blueray in order to see all the special features but its ok i will surrive. :)
