Genitics

Now we all have them and sometimes we wonder who's side we take after more, you mom's or dad's, and I feel that I am pretty close half and half. well this weekend I totally looked like my dad's side and looked like Grandma Jones.

When i got sunburned my legs and feet got it pretty bad. I had to do a 10hr day and my legs and feet were completely Swollen!

It was pretty bad! It is now Tuesday and they are just getting back to normal size.

I am OK with having Grandma Jones genes in me. she comes from some great people. So to my future family I will most likely have kankles when I get old. :)

Friday the 13th!

Now I am not a superstitious person but it did not end up in my favor that day.

It started out really well, I got to sleep in, and i made Quiche and Brooke my roommate and i started our Pride and Prejudice marathon. It was great. we got part way through and decided we needed to take a break so we ate lunch and then ran to the store. It was such a beautiful day and my mom called and said that I needed to sit out side and soak up the sun. It sounded like a good idea so i did. well I got fried crispy. and at this point is where things went down hill..

The other bad thing to happen was Brooke and I got asked to go to a bonfire. It sounded fun but i was not really in the mood to go but Brooke really wanted to go. I should of listened to my gut.

We left for the bonfire at 8:30 and did not make it there until 10:10. The place changed like 5 times and we ended up getting lost and driving around almost the whole valley.

Now i am not going to let this freak me out for other Friday the 13Th's but I will defiantly listen to my gut next time.

Moving Apartments

So I had to move apartments on the May 10Th. The apartment where I have lived the last year is being filled with tenets form the Opera Company. So I had to move across the parking lot. In the past when i move mom, grandma and grandpa are there to help me. this time i was by my self. I totally thought i could do it.. but oh man it was such a very hard and long task. I made so so many trips up and down stairs, and across that parking lot. I swear I waked 5 miles.

My new roommate Moon did help me with a few boxes and then I had Logan, Brooke and 2 of Logan friends come and help me. They took the big stuff I could not lift. Then they took the rest of the boxes. They finished in 1/2 hour. it would of taken me 5 more hours to do what they did. I was truly grateful.

Then by the next day I had everything moved UNPACKED and put away. It was so so wonderful to have that done!

Mothers Day!

So on Sunday for mother's day, We all went to church and then we let mom take a nap and The rest of us did the stuff for dinner. I cooked, Dad Grilled, Skyler set the table, and DJ, Spencer, Nils and Skyler all did the dishes. It was a good. day!

I was trying to find a picture of mom but i could not find one that i had. She does not like to have her picture taken.

I am truly grateful for my mom and everything that she does for me and the family!

Antalope Island

On Saturday May 7Th Dad, Mom , Me, Spencer, Nils and Skyler went out to Antelope Island. I have not been out there in Forever. I was nice to go back. When we pulled up to the gate the told us the there were a Ton of Biting Gnats. We did not think that it was going to be bad but Holy Cow they were every where. I am glad that I wore pants and brought a jacket. we were swatting them the whole time. I am sure if nobody knew what we were doing we would of looked like we have terrets. lol

We went up to the visitor center and looked around there and got some information. Then we went looking for the herd of bison. we went down to the Ranch. I had never been there before. it was really fun and interesting. Plus we met this really funny old man. The herd was not there.

As we were driving back toward the Visitor Center we found the Herd. There were so so many it was crazy. We kept on driving and we found more.

Here is one that was on the Side of the road. So we had been joking about the State Farm Insurance Commercial where the 2 guys car gets attacked by a Buffalo(Bison) and when we saw one so close to the road we thought it would be funny if my car got attacked. (even thought we have Geico) So this BIG guy came really close to the car. My mom was egging it on. Luckily my car was not damaged.




We then headed to the other side of the Island to go play in the water. The whole time we were all amazed how low the lake was. The last time that I was there you just had to walk to the end of the sandy area and then there was water. Now you go past the sandy part and have to walk a mile to get out to the water. But along the way there were so so many flat rocks perfect for skipping.

Then Nils and Skyler decided that the wanted to walk out and play in the water.

They hiked up their pants and started...

and they kept going....

and going.....

Until they were pretty far out there! It was fun to see them.

after the water we went home. My car was completely covered in bugs. there was like 2-3 layers of them. so me and mom dropped the boys off to shower and we went to wash the car. it took the power sprayer a few times to get them all off. Yuck. It was a great day!

Fablous Friday!

On Friday May 6Th, we all got together (the whole family) and we went down to Provo to the BYU Museum of Art. We went to see the Carl Bloch exhibit. It was super crowded but the paintings were amazing!

This is one of Carl Bloch's paintings. A lot of his art work was and is used for Church publication. In part of the exhibit there was a section that showed Ensigns that used his art work.

After that exhibit we went over to this other small room where there were a few other works of art.

As you walk in there was this Massive Wall of Books! It was so crazy and cool! We all love the Carl Bloch exhibit but I think that our favorite was the books.( the pictures are in the wrong order)

After the Museum we were starving! We all went to The Pizza Factory in Provo! Oh man it is so so YUMMY! I think that we all just wanted the Bread Sticks!

After dinner we stopped by the Lehi Cemetery to see Grandma Jones. Oh I miss her so! Then we went to Grandpa's for a little bit. We got to see Becca, Brad, Zack, Abby, and Maggie. Oh they are so so cute! I love seeing them. Then Dad and I started asking Grandpa some questions about genealogy and it was great. I got a lot of good information to keep going on with what I am working on. Then we drove home. I was a great day!

Future Husband :)

A few weekends ago me and my mom were talking about the Royal Wedding and how excited we were to watch it and all the other hype that goes with it.

I think that Nils had enough of everyont talking about it and said something to the fact of "did you watch the Swedish royal wedding?"

we thought for a moment and then replied"was it on TV"

he said "yes"

and then we replied "here in the US"

and he said "no"

and that kind of the end of that.

Later something got brought up again and I asked him if there was a Prince of Sweden close to my age? to my sup rise his answer was YES! I kind of freaked out a bit and looked him up. Once i saw this...

I decided that he was my Future Husband! Wow he is just so so good looking! I grilled Nils for a while and tried to get details but he was no help. So I "googled" him and found out more. :)

As I was trying to find a picture of him at work to show the girls, i came across this funny website.. it is How to date a prince. com it is not really helpful but it is funny:)

Not that I am really going to marry him but He is great to look at!

Maybe one day I will be Royalty :)

Death of Osama Bin Laden

On Sunday May 1st 2011 I had gotten home from a fireside and ward prayer and sat down and was watching the TV. I was watching the movie 8 Seconds and then it was commercial and flipped Thur the other stations and this popped up! Osama Bin Laden is dead! At first I was in shock and then there was a moment of disbelief and then utter joy!

I had a neighbor, Mary Alice Wahlstrom, was on the first plane that hit the first tower. 911 Was devastating to the whole nation but it also hit very close to home.

I realize that my excitement for this mans death is because he killed so may innocent people, and that there is hope that this war will end sometime in the near future and the wonderful troops that risk their lives to keep us safe.

I Love the United States! I am truly grateful for the rights and freedoms that I have!

The Royal Weding

The Royal Wedding!!!

On April 29Th 2011 William and Kate got married! It was the talk of the town! Every TV station had non stop coverage. I wanted to stay up all night and watch it but I had to work that day and decided to get some sleep but my wonderful mother helped me out. My mom watched Princess Dianna's wedding and so she was definitely watching this one. She was so kind as to call me and wake me up for the important parts. I am truly grateful that she did this so that I could take part of this Historic Event!

I really think that they make a cute couple! They look so happy the whole time! It was like a perfect fairytale. :)

OK So I loved her dress! I thought it was perfect for her. It was a great mix of modern and tradition at the same time. She look Beautiful!
