Curtains

Spencer as "Oscar Shapiro"
The actual Broadway picture

Davis High School is doing "Curtains" the musical and my wonderfully talented brother Spencer is one of the leads. :)

I have not heard of this musical before and did not really know much about it but I have to say I LOVE IT!!!

The story line goes as follows... This production is about putting on a hit Broadway show and making it to the big time. at first the show is not going so well and might not make it...and then the leading lady is killed during the final bows... a detective comes to find the killer and keeps everybody in the theater.. this detective has a secret passion for the theater and would love to be in a Broadway show. as he is solving the murder he also helps the cast re wright the show and make the musical numbers flow a little more.. this show is also very very Funny!! a few of the characters have some great one liners. at one point i was crying because i was laughing so hard!
It was so much fun to see Spencer's friends in the play also... there was Dalton Facer, Shane Hickenlooper, Danny Cowser, Marissa Anderson, and our neighbor Matt Mathias and so many more people. They all did a great job.

I wish i could go back every night and see it. For anyone who can I totally recommend going and seeing it. It plays November 15,16,18,19, and 20Th.

Jack Black Movies/ Food

so me and my roommates and Curtis, Karl, and Jeffery have had a fun week of Jack Black movies and food. Last wednesday(a week ago) we decided to watch Kung Fu Panda and make Romen noodles. It was so so much fun. Emma made a tai peanutbutter noodles that was super good. Lindsey made an egg drop soup thing with romen. and then we had just normal romen. it was so so much fun. I love that movie it is super funny and very quotable.

Then on friday we had a Nacho Libre movie food night. We had nachos. we made some fablous guacamole we had melted cheese, shredded cheese, black beans, pinto beans, salsa, onions, and more stuff i cant remember. but they were super super good. we watched the movie as we ate. I remember why i have only seen this movie once before. yea it is funny and has some good quotes but really, i could not watch it more than 1 every couple of years. :) just my opinion.

we could not figure out what to eat for School of Rock. but I think we are still working on it. :)

Beef Noodle Bowl

So this is one of my new favorite recipes. It is from Kraft foods. I just make it up as i go now but the real recipe is as follows:
1/2 lb Linguine,uncooked
3 cups broccoli florets
3 carrots peeled, sliced
2tsp oil
1lb beef sirloin steak, cut into strips
1/4 cup Kraft Asian toasted Sesame Dressing
1 Tbsp. teriyaki sauce
Cook: pasta in a large saucepan as directed on package adding vegetables to boiling water for the last 2 min
Meanwhile: heat oil in large nonstick skillet. add meat; cook until browned on all sides, stirring occasionally, stir in dressing and teriyaki sauce, cook 2 min or until sauce is thicken stirring occasionally
Drain pasta mixture, place in large serving bowl add meat mixture toss to coat.
I don't do the carrots and add strips of red and or green peppers, i add garlic and onions and i saute them for a while and add the sauce to that. in the sauce i add some fajita seasoning and soy sauce. and then mix the meat with the veggies and sauce and then add the noodles and mix. you can really make it how ever. oh i also add a little more of the dressing.
it is a fun homemade Chinese and tastes really good. :)

Hunger Games

Yeah! I finally finished the series! I Love these books! I read the first one in a day and a half and the second one in a day. The third one took me a little longer to read cause I kept hearing how dissapointed people were. But I kept reading and finished. I thought it was ok. at least i was not left hanging and it seemed to answer all my questions. so it was good. I have to give a HUGE thanks to my cousin Leah for letting me borrow the books! you are so amazing!!! Thanks a million.
So anyone who is looking for a good read these books are it!

26th Birthday

So I am now officially 26 and old! (I even have the gray hair to prove it) Most of the time I feel old but lately people have been really nice and think and tell me I look young. lets see I have got 18,20,and 21. Now that would be nice but I think that I am going to like being 26. I did not like 25. It was not a fun year so I am really hoping that 26 is better. I love even years and in the past they have been good to me.

With turning 26 I got kicked of my parents insurance. I have been worried about that for a while and with my job I kept hoping that I would be able to move up to 30 hrs. and get insurance. For a while it did not look like it but Good News I Get Insurance!!!! I start on Monday with my new hrs. :) Yeah!

If you would of asked me when I was 18 where or what I thought my life would be like when I was 26 is definitely not what it is now. I thought I would be married, have a kid, graduated with a BS in something, and being a mom maybe working one or two days just to help save money. But lets see I am totally single, not even a prospect of a date, only have an associates degree and cant decide on a BS degree, working as many hrs as I can get and not being able to save any of it. But the only thing that makes me feel less like a looser is that I know that I am where I am suppose to be. I am still learning the lesson of Patience.

One thing I am truly Grateful for in my 26 yrs is my Family! Immediate and extended. They are so wonderful and have shown me so much love. So I ended up with a Big Family Birthday Weekend. I went to the Jones Girls Night. It was a blast and a wonderful blessing. I love them all so so much. then me and my mom went shopping all day. It was exhausting but it was great. Then on Sunday my daddy and mom made me breakfast, I went to Church with the family and watched Skyler in the Primary Program, and then we had a huge family dinner and cake. Here are some pictures of my birthday and the presents that I got.
I got some Orange organizational boxes from Ikea and some fabric for a new purse that a girl I work with is going to make for me and Brooke & Logan game me the Scrapbook.
These are my Birthday outfits. I am singing in a Choir and needed Jewel tons and got these. I love them so so much
this is my birthday cake! it is a 3day cake. it has to sit in the fridge for that time to set up. I was super super good.
Singing Happy Birthday! I did blow out my All My candles in one breath and hope my wish comes true. ;)
